Current courses

8-26 week Yoga course „recharge yourself with energy & relax“

A systematic and integral introduction to Yoga. Practice and practical theory regarding asanas, Yoga background, lifestyle and diet, Ayurveda etc. You not only learn how to perform the asanas but also their benefits. There will be course papers with additional info and a home practice can be designed adapted to personal needs, health aspects. During the practice we gradually extend the duration of holding the postures to potentially several minutes. In this way you are able to keep your awareness, focus on energy, enter a deep relaxation that includes work with the chakras and deep tissues as well as experience a strengthening on all levels of your being, not only physical, but also emotional and mental. The course suits beginners and intermediate practitioners and it corresponds to the Agama Yoga Level 1 Intensive Course, as being offered on various locations worldwide, but is here adapted to western environment. That means, the course is only 1-2 times a week and spread out thus over several weeks.

9 week Yoga course „The Heart of Yoga“

This is a classical practice of Haha Yoga which is entirely enveloped by the breath. You will feel why Mark Whitwells calls it Advanced Practice for Everyone. It helps you to create a sanctuary for yourself. This practice is mainly dynamic according to the Vinyasana Krama principle, starting with very simply movements, strengthening as well as being meditative.
Additionally to the breath enveloped Asanas we will also practice some Pranayamas (yogic control of breath) and meditate in some class.
This practice is inspired by the Yoga Master Mark Whitwell, who was a direct and longterm student of Krishnamacharya and throughout the Meditation of Hridaya Yoga.
The course is suitable for beginners and intermediate practitioners.

A joyful, warm hearted, and compassionate teacher, Eva Makkos conducts classes and workshops at various places round the world with compassion, humour, radiance and wisdom. Practicing Yoga since 1992 and teaching since 2011 (with Yoga Alliance 800hr teacher training programs in total) Eva has sought out complementary approches along her path as a student and teacher, studying Iyengar, Tantra, Kashmir Shivaism, Agama, Anusara, Heart of Yoga, Hridaya, Vajrayana and Zen Buddhism, Sri Aurobindo's Integral Yoga,Yogatherapy, traditional yoga philosophy, Shamanism and Ethnomedicine, as well as modern philosophies of being and consciousness.
She has taught in Germany, Austria, Croatia, Mexico, Thailand.
Much of her practice these days consists of techniques focusing on the subtle bodies as well as Bhakti and Karma Yoga with the focus to embody Yoga in the entire life.
